i was pulling a 6,000lb lift capacity forklift. so it had to weigh like 12 grand. i was surprised by how well the cab held up. you can see how it crushed the front, buckled the frame where the bed meets the cab, and the trailer shoved my hitch and bumper up into my leaf springs and lifted the back end off the ground for a second, yet both doors opened up as if nothing had happened. no air bag deployment, because we had slowed down enough before impact. just all the damage was from the momentum of all the weight. we pulled the front bumper back out so I could steer and still drove the truck about a mile to get it to a parking lot to wait the 8 hours it took for someone to get me with a semi/detach trailer. i was 6 hours away from home with my wife (at the time girlfriend). it was quite an experience, we were in a little town in ohio with no cell phone reception and only 2 cops that showed up in like a 1990 suburban lol. luckily i got NO tickets or warnings or anything!!

Were you in a wreck before? The front bumper being blue kind of makes me wonder if this is common.

I don't see why people come on here to brag that they've wrecked their vehicles and they get these fancy new ones almost like its a free deal. Surely everyone knows nothing is free and that the new vehicle will be paid via increased insurance premiums.

actually, it was an FX4. the bumpers are body color from the factory moron. and my insurance didn't even go up a penny from the wreck, the only thing that raised my insurance was getting a newer truck, made it go up $7.00 every 6 months. i know nothing is free, but i work my *** off for all that i have, my truck payment went up $50 bucks a month and i have longer to pay now. when did I ever say that i got something free?? do you think I put my wife and i's lives in danger for a "free deal"? no, and i would never choose to do it no matter how nice the replacement is, i am fortunate that no one was hurt, and i'm fortunate for all I have. I don't see why people come on here to try to badmouth people for the pictures they post. if you don't like it, then keep your mouth shut, i just thought people would like to see the pictures. i learned a lesson on pulling too much weight, maybe this will help someone else learn their lesson too.

Get all your facts before you start talking crap. gotta be able to back up your words
