What impedance is your amplifier rated at for a bridged connection? If you can wire them together into an impedance your amp is stable it, I'd say bridge it. I've usually done it that way, same subs, same power to each. I have 2 DUB1000 10's, 4 ohm DVC, wired down to 1 ohm on an MMATS mono amp that is stable to 1/3 ohm.

 

I don't know what anything you said is. But I have all the specs on the amp and the speaker at the top of this page.

 

You're missing some crucial specs. What model amp is it? Your post says its 400W RMS bridged, but it doesn't say at what impedence. Also, in the pictures, the Jensens look to be single voice coil, but what is the impedence of each?

OK, that helps.
- Each speaker is listed as having an impedence of 4 ohms. So if you hooked them up in parallel you'd be at 2 ohms. Your amp is rated at a minimum of 4 ohms bridged. Since your 2 ohm speaker setup would be lower than the 4 ohms amp is rated for, you should not run it bridged, you may overheat the amp, or burn it out. Also, even if you could, if you cranked it up enough you'd be pushing 400W through speakers rated at 300W combined, so you'd run an increased chance of blowing the subs.

- Your amp is rated to put out 100W RMS x2 at 4 ohms. Each speaker is rated at for 150W RMS and is 4 ohms. You will be fine running each speaker on it's own channel.

You can, but if it's one of those Jensen's I wouldn't suggest it. The speaker is rated for 150W RMS. The 100W RMS that you'd get by hooking it up to just one of the channels is enough. If you hook it up bridged, unless you're very careful about how much you turn it up, you'd stand a good chance of doing some damage to the sub. You can hook it up bridged and be careful about it and not have any problems, but putting on one channel is safer and will sound fine. It's not about throwing any sub in there and trying to get it as loud as it'll go and having it sound sh*tty or burn out. Just try to hook it up right and have it sound cleaner.
