Once you aim them properly I find the output of the stock halogens to be good. But it's been my experience that from the factory the lights are aimed up too high. When I first got my truck I noticed I couldn't see to well with the headlights, and found a lot of people were flashing me, like they thought my high beams were on. So I adjusted the lights down and there was a great improvement in vision and a reduction in being flashed at night. After the levelling kit I did it again.

I know this is an old thread put I wanted to show off my new lights. I think they look way better than the chrome on my magnetic sport. Here are some before and after shots.

I used chrome-coated bulbs in mine to eliminate the amber reflection when the lights are off. My headlights are non-OEM, but very similar to the Special Edition ones.

Where'd you get the SE headlights from? Looks way better on the truck.

I got them from tascaparts.com. $175 per light + $50 shipping. So $400 total. I thought shipping was a little steep but what are you gonna do?

Wish I'd seen this a couple months ago. I wound up with SpecD units.
