I have the harness. but if I don't have to install it now, that would be great. I haven't decided on if I want to do APA yet.

Looks like you are correct. Here is what he said earlier.

"The button in the mirror actually looks fairly decent. If I were only adding lane assist, I might be tempted to leave it at that as you wouldn't need to change the console wiring harness and the shifter bezel/switches. you would just need the mirror, bodge in the switch and make two changes in forscan. Would save yourself a lot of cash. But I've already gone down the "full install" road and I want it to look factory when I'm done."

Looks like the console harness is not necessary to do the switch in the mirror. I think I will likely progress that way for now.

Do you plan to extract pin 9?

Yeah, I'll find a ground somewhere. I don't think he said where he picked up ground, but that can't be too hard.

Here is what the connector looks like. I have pulled pin 9 already. It is the Green wire seen in the picture.

That's your mirror harness right?

Where are you going to pick up ground?

Yeah, that is the mirror harness. I am not sure, but I believe Great White said where he grounded for testing. I will go back and look at what he said. I don't think it was tied to any other wire, but to the body somewhere.

Ok, he didn't say. I guess I will figure it out when I get in there. Shouldn't be too hard to find a ground.
