You might like tinted superduty tail lights. I'm not a fan of aftermarket options on these trucks personally Give me your opinions-photo947.jpg

My $.02
  • Black Lightning/Harley headlights
  • '08+ SD tails (and if you tint them PLEASE just go *very* lightly smoked and/or put some darned bright LED's in them)
  • Smoked LED third tail light
  • SD tailgate ('08+, as well)
  • Yes on Plasti-dip for the chrome bumpers. Emblems, eh, I don't particularly care for them painted solid black, but either way would work.
  • I'd leave the wheels as-is.
  • Body-colored grille surround with black honeycomb insert (or black billet, maybe?)
  • I'd keep the current steps, or remove altogether.
  • I'd probably lose the bug shield, too. I liked it on my '99, but tried it on my '03 and decided against it.

I second this. A clean look, not 'riced' out.

You might want to consider a set of Depo clear fog lights for that bumper. The wiring will be there already, so all you would need is the Depo's and a fog light compatible head light switch. 4wd 97-98 with that bumper are factory wired for the fogs. Add the switch and lenses with bulbs and you are golden.

Not a fan of bolting stupid crap on vehicles
But most people cant help themselves, money burns a hole in pocket

Bolting on crap.....is not customizing either
Its ...bolting on crap
Making a truck into the redneck version of a ghetto cruiser.
People are the same
Add some curb feelers while you add the other stupid stuff.

Are the 08+ SD tail lights and tail gate a direct swap?

Thinking of doing a black mesh grille, and bed lining the bumpers/grille surround

I'll double check and make sure the fog light wiring is there, the previous owner did some weird stuff to this truck as far as wiring goes. I have a fog light button , I did a dash swap from an expedition that had one already and I just left it on

Harley davidson/ Lightning headlights. Most people go Lightning, but I went Harley Davidson, and had them retro'ed. Tail light wise, I'm running something a bit different. Im running tails from a Ford Falcon Ute.

Man that burgundy/black is my favorite color match up on the F150. Those are paint goals for the future although not sure how it would look on a single cab.

I like those headlights, very clean

I think you'd be fine. Cab configuration shouldn't make that much of a difference with the results. Thanks though; these headlights were a long time in the making (one reason or another), but the guy who built them did a fantastic job.
