I have the Ford remote start add-on connected to my OBDII port and I never remove it when using Forscan. It is simply a port to access the data buses in the truck. You should be fine not removing anything when you are using Forscan.

Someone who might know, in order to fix hyper-blink with front turn signal LEDs, if I'm understanding the notes correctly, it should be this line:

726-27-01 xxx* xxxx xxxx Front LED turn outage cfg: 0=no outage, 1=outage

Is that correct?

I figure the USB one would be better since there's no chance of connectivity drop out while messing with forscan
It also isn't a huge deal if it were to drop out, it's not writing firmware, just values. Worst case is you need to rewrite them.

Yep, that is correct and can confirm it works. No need for resistors or anything else when making this change.

l'm looking into getting FORScan to reprogram for bigger tires I just put on. Dealership wants to charge me $130.00 so I figured I'd pay $80 and do it myself, and have the option to do many other things.

I have a question, I'm looking at Livnitup's spreadsheet and for 726-12-01 Tire size (for speedometer calibration) it says "**changing this will cause DTC in PCM**". What does that mean?

Tire size needs to be changed in the PCM as well as in the BCM to correctly make the change. You CAN just change it in the BCM but it will set a DTC because the value in the PCM doesn't match.

A programmer (or Ford) will set it in the PCM properly.

You dont need to spend that much in the Bosch unit. There are very high quality chinese clones that will cost a third of the oem unit. I've been using one for over two years with zero issues.

So even if I get FORScan, I'll still need to pay the dealership to reset it?
