Thanks, Have heard a lot of good things about the new KO2, just trying to decide if its worth the extra $200 over the duratracs

Interesting to hear you guys speak of the hydroplaning with the KO2s.
I've had them in the 275/65/20 since the first week of March and now have about 11k miles on them. They've performed better than the stock Bridgestones in every way, and have our performed the Michelin MS2 that I typically run. I've been on many highway speed roadtrips in torrential downpours here in VA and have rarely thought that I was anything other than sure-footed.
Obviously, I'm very happy with the KO2 in design, looks, and function.

By the way...NASSTY, I hate you man...so jealous that you're planning for a Raptor.

I got 35" mudders for cheaper than both of those but if it were me I'd go duratrac. Those are sexier tires imo

But I just recently found a sale on some P-Metric Duratracs for about $970 which is about $200 less than the KO2's were gonna cost.

So now im stuck. Snow driving for me in NC is next to none, or very little. But when we get snow, it doesnt get plowed.

Leaning towards the P Duratracs for cost. But the tread of the KO2 is more appealing to me.

We also use my truck as the family vehicle for road trips as well as I use it at our hunting property. Ive spent days reading about different tires. I like the looks/ performance combo of these 2 the best.

Anyone able to push me one way or the other?
Check out the Toyo AT2's...I'm running the P rated ones that are lightweight but still give decent traction on and off road. Ride good and not much road noise.

I would pick neither. Both are over priced. And there are far better tires on the market.

But, between the two I'd avoid the Duratrac. Mine were bad in rain and I read reviews from other guys who reported the same. And, they get quite noisy over time.

I had considered those but they are hard to find locally

Did you have the P-Metric ones?

How do you like your Falken AT3? I had considered those as well

I had LT-C rated Duratracs in 33x12.50 size. They were pretty quiet at first, but after the first rotation they got quite a bit more noisy. And I've been passed on the highway once or twice by trucks with loud wa-wa-wa-wa tires and when I get up next to them at the next redlight they've got Duratracs. They were fantastic in mud and snow, but they were not good in wet or dry highway conditions.

I love the new Falken A/T3W. It's been a fantastic tire in all conditions and it's not loud. I can't wait to try them in the snow this year. I've got about 6,000 miles on them now and they have been rotated once. They still look like they're wearing great. I only paid $650 for the entire set. They are rugged with thick sidewalls so they are a little heavy, but definitely are great tires.

I have ran both in multiple sizes on multiple trucks. I'm running the duratracs on my 14 f150 now, why? because I like them better and they are less money. another tire I really like is the Kelley Safari TSR. not sure I saw what size you are wanting but they don't make the TSR in a 20. I have cooper ST Maxx on my superduty, because they were on it when I bought it, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. A lot of people love the terra grapplers, but again, I have ran them and didn't like them at all and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Of the tires in your original post, Duratracs are my choice, but both are good tires.

was that 650 installed?

Ive seen about 820 installed as the best price. I might just get these ordered and be patient instead of being impatient and buying something now

That's too bad you had a bad experience with the Nittos. Mine has been just the opposite. I just finished my first set of Terra Grapplers in 275/70R17 that ran over 60,000 miles and tore up everything I threw at them, desert, dirt, and clay mud.

Just installed a set of Terra Grappler G2s in 315/70R17 and they look great and I have every confidence they will pick right up where my last pair left off.

Great looking tire and performs. Price is right too at 250 or less for a 35.
