Default I went with polished and now I have to suffer!

Ok when I upgraded my wheels I swore off polished wheels because of the conditions where I am at in the winter, well I found a set dirt cheap and now I have to clean and polish the things.......POINT IS......anyone ever use the break dust shields, what is the best kind to use and do they work?

So of the bazillion memebers on here none of you have had, or knows someone who has had any type of experience with these dust shields........I have never used them and none of my friends have polished wheels so any help here would be great.

Never used the shields, but I hear they could have an adverse affect on brake cooling. Might only be a problem with towing or mountain/hard driving, but who knows?

Got the kleen Shields on all corners with no problems...they have vent slots.....also to those worried about braking problems, what about trucks with "hubcaps", same thing.....my neighbor has them on his 07 again no problems.....beats having to clean your wheels every other day

polished wheels are a pain in the *** to keep clean, but totally worth it after they get a good polishing!

Be carful here. If you have dough install Ceramic Brake pads. You can buy the very reasonable off of Ebay. For what it is worth !

Why the ominous tone, be careful about what? Do the shields cause problems....can you elaborate a little more?
