Went mudding with a buddy he has a 2011 scab 1500 with a level, 20inch wheels and some street tires. Me 06 scab lariat. With 18inch wheels and mud grappler 33's. he was cruising through mud pits that i got stuck in. Os there anyyhing majorly different abt the 4x4 systems that would make a chevy better in the mid. I was getting verrrry frustrated. Embarrasing since i had mud grapplers with still good tread on them. Any answers??

 

Does he have lockers? Do you? What gear ratios are the trucks.

How much mudding experience do you have and how much does he have?

Sorry to say but experience trumps the trucks ability most of the time.

 

I have 3.73ls and he has 3.42 or something close to that. And ive been off roading since i could drive. Prob abt 6 years. Idk exactly abt lockers thats why im asking abt the 4x4 drive systems

 

Probably the driver, Or ground clearence. stock form muddling gears and horse power mean nothing.... If one is lockerd and one is not will make a difference.

Lmao it cant be a driver error bc he has owned rice burners his whole life. And just got the truck at the end of summer so im not worried abt that. Again i wAs asking if theres any difference in the 4x4 system!

He more than likely has the G80 limited slip and an open front diff. Driver error on your part, not enough wheel spin.
