Default 200 miles and the transmission is acting up

Bought my 2012 fx2 on Monday , and randomly as I drive the transmission shifts really really violently and seems to be "forgetting" how to shift and just feels really really bad, and then it will go back to normal.... Any one else have this problem ? It's really irritating that a 4 day old truck has been doing this since day 1

How many miles on the truck when you bought it. Takes awhile for the trans to learn your driving style.

Your transmission is in the learning stage in which hard shifts are normal. Give it some time, drive your truck and enjoy.

The transmissions will learn and adapt to the way you drive, It hasn't had enough time to learn.

My 2011 did this when I first got it. After a couple thousand miles it should be shifting properly.

The software that controls the transmision has an adaptive learning curve in other words it learns to shift by studying your driving habbits. give it a few hundred miles and it will sort itself out if not take it back to the dealer and ask them to reflash the TCM. or you can disconect the battery for a few mins and it will reset and start the process all over. My self I would give it time and then back to dealer if it doesnt corect itself

These aren't like hard shifts, they are slams and one time when I stomped on it, and went to the rev limiter and stuck there then dropped down a gear, and chirped the tires and took off... I have felt hard shifts and these are so bad they can give u whiplash if u aren't expecting it... It had 15 miles on Monday, now has like 225 on it

Mine did the same thing like the first or second week...once. Interstate on ramp I goosed it, downshifted and slammed into gear...like being rear ended. Never did it since. Just give it another week before you get too worried.
