Default Make Microsoft Sync stop telling me its connected!!!

Hi Folks,

Just wondering....every time I get into my new truck i hear,"Microsoft Sync is now connected to your phone, and is reminding you that 911 assist is set to off" Its annoying! I want to use sync but would like it if it would just connect and shut up about it. Is this possible? If so how?

Thanks so much for your help!

Assuming you've got a 2012 without the nav system:

You can do it but it's hard to navigate the menus that lead to the setting.

You might be able to find the instructions in the Sync manual that came with the truck.

As I recall you have to turn on the audio system by pressing the button inside the Volume ****, the press the "Menu" button to get to the "Media Menu", then navigate that menu by turning the Tuning know and pressing the button inside that **** to make selections.

I think the sequence of menu items you're looking for are: Media Menu > System Settings > Advanced > Prompts > Prompts Off?

But don't hold me to that. I find the Sync system manual to be very poorly written and the Sync menu system very hard to navigate. It might take a lot of experimentation. But I eventually found the right settings and turned them off in my truck.

Good luck.

Oops, it's not in the "Media Menu" it's in the "Phone Menu" under "911 Assist".
