Default speaker problem

My driver side speaker will work when I have my door open but once I close it, the speaker stops working. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a loose connection at the speaker terminal. They have come loose in my past rides from vibration due to driving or slamming door in the past. Just remove the door paneling and push them tight over terminal. If it stays loose, needle nose pliers can crush it down tighter or just buy a new connector set on amazon. Hopes this helps.

It could also be a break in the wiring where it flexes when the door opens and closes. Once you have the door panel off and have checked the connections move the door and see if the problem is still there. If it is start tracing the wires back up through the loom.

My money is on a wire starting to break in the door boot. Take the rubber cover off the plug ends and check the wires. If you find a broken one just cut it and solder and shrink wrap it.

Default Check the connection to speaker first.

When doing repair job on my power window checked speaker as was off on thing, seems connector was "loose" and would/would not work. Get meter and hook up to ground wire if connection not an issue, then open close door and see if the wire itself might be broken and worn. Seems the speaker connections on trucks are a on going issue. Mine acted like bad wire but was just moved about enough, loose at connector to be an issue.
