Default replacing a timeing chain cover

My husband is replacing the timing chain cover on our 1988 f150. I wanna know how to do it. And if the oil pan is involve. And what are all the tools n parts he needs.

LOL TROLL, but just incase. Set of basic wrenches, sockets, extensions, ratchets. Pull the radiator. Will probably have to drop the front of the oil pan. May need a basic three arm puller. Timing light. New set of gears and chain. Torque wrench
