Default Please help me!! 1994 F-150 5L V8

I've got a 1994 F-150 5.0L V8. The guy said if I can get it started I can have it. He said he saw white smoke coming out the back and parked, the next day he tried to start but it turned over and wouldn't start. Sometimes it'll run but as soon as I go to put it in drive or give it a little gas it dies. I've checked the distributor cap, the fuel regulator, the fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs. I'm putting coolant in it today to see if it'll run afterwards. I'll let y'all know what happened

Default Check Compression

White smoke typically is coolant. If possible do a compression test. May be a blown head gasket. Mid nineties V8 not a difficult fix.
