Default Heater core

Hi all,

I believe my heater coil is on its way out. Past two weeks windows have been fogging up on the passenger side throughout the day. 70 degree days. Tonight was cool and when I turned on the defrost , got steam out of the vents and the windows all went foggy for the whole 25 minute trip.

How hard is it to replace. Can't seem to find a video of the process.

Thanks

It's not too bad. Trying to remember if I pulled the dash first, that complicates it a little. I will check that out later and let you know.

That's what it looks like behind the dash. Will double check later if the dash actually has to come off. I don't think so, but it's possible. If so, it's easier than it looks (production line simplicity).
If I remember this right, the heater core is behind the access door at the very far right of the picture. You may be able to access it by pulling the glove box.
Anyway, once you get the access door off, it's just pull the hoses off in the engine compartment and pull the heater core out.

Finally found a video. It was on a f250 but it's the same. Easy job. Right behind glove box and the HCore is $27. Going to do it now.

Yup, very easy. Dash does not need to come out, it's right behind the glove box.

92 to 96 for sure - just pull the glove box to get at the access panel

Yea I don't know about those years, but for 92 to 96 I'm positive it doesn't have to come out, I did mine a few months ago. My dodge however, the dash has to come out.
