Default autometer temp gauge hookup help.

Hey gang just bought a 95 f150 302, temp gauge quit so I'm trying to throw a gauge in it I have. I cannot seem to find the right place to put it, I thought that it might on where the sensor was on the thermostat housing. Is this correct ? The kit I have came with a 1/2 nut, obviously too big. I'm thinking of going to autozone tomorrow to get a 3/8 and try here. Has anyone else done this? Sorry if this has been posted I tried to look without any luck on the search for this older truck. Thanks.

Yes it should be next to the thermostat under the intake manifold. Move the radiator hose out of the way. It stay hidden unless you look for it
