93 f150
I have a 93 f150 with a 302. It will crank beautifully when the engine is cold, but after it warms up, it WILL NOT crank. Have replaced everything that might cause it except the distributor. Any ideas why this old rascal won't fire when the engine is hot? Thanks

When you say it wont crank, do you mean the starter doesnt turn over the motor? Or does the starter turn the motor, but it wont fire.
If the starter wont crank it, you likely have either a fried starter, and/or the grounds are corroded from the engine to the chassis, and/or the power wire connections from the battery to the starter is corroded. I had this issue recently on a 351W bronco and just put in a new beefy alternator, and ran a new 4awg ground from the block to the chassis, and chassis to battery. Oh, I also had a problem with a battery with an intermittent shorted cell. It would work fine, and randomly one of the cells would short and the battery voltage would drop. When I stopped and turned off the alternator, the battery would be dead. The interior lights, etc would all go out... and banging on the battery would temporarily unshort it and i'd be off.
If the starter turns the motor over fine but it doesnt fire, I'd start by testing the ECT sensor and possibly replacing the TFI module on the distributor.
