Thumbs up 1987- 1991 Ford F-150 Radiator Core Support and Bushing Mount Replacement:

This comprehensive procedure provides a clear step-by-step way to remove and replace the radiator support on a 8th Generation Ford F-150 in order to install new rad support bushings and related hardware. The rad support is available from several vendors but I chose www.rockauto.com as they are reputable. The core support was solid, fit like a glove and all holes (except for one lone lower bottom left c-clip hole) were the proper size and location.

I found only one supplier on the internet that can supply everything you need in the way of the correct rubber bushing mounts and with all the correct related mounting hardware including a diagram that shows how it all goes together. Some internet reviews are not favourable for this company but I found their hardware and bushings for this application excellent. This company is called www.LMCTruck.com.

An important step in undertaking this job is to place fasteners for individual components in clear zip-lock freezer baggies and mark on the bag table what the fasteners are for. This way, they don’t get lost come reassembly time.

Also it is a good idea to take photos along the way. Trust me, they will help you remember how everything goes back together.
