Default Taillights stay on all the time

Quick question. Be patient with me as this is one of my first posts. I have a 95 F150 extra cab 4x4 5.0L. When I pulled in the driveway, I noticed the brake lights stayed on. I first tried pulling on the brake pedal, they stayed on. I tried pulling the relay on the top of the brake pedal, lights stayed on. I pulled on the pedal one more time, lights went off. I walk in the house, look out the window, lights are back on. Could it be a short somewhere or a faulty relay? Any help or expertise from someone who has went through this or some suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like a bad brake switch.

I replaced the brake switch. Same problem. The only thing I can do to get them to shut off is pull the fuse or pull the battery. Any other suggestions?

Did you check the trailer connector. Sometimes one contact will connect with the brake light connector do to damage of the trailer connector.

Possibly a headlight switch ? It might be tail lights rather than brake lights.
If you unplug the brake light switch they should go off if they're brake lights. Unless there's a problem in the wires to the B/L switch
