Exclamation Starting Problem

Hello to all.

I have a 1990 F-150 XLT Lariat, 2-WD, 5.0 liter, 302cc with EFI.

My truck stopped starting up with the ignition. I replaced the starter solenoid as it was the 22 year old original. That didn't help, so I replaced the ignition switch. That didn't help either.

It still starts every time by placing a screwdriver across the two bolts on the solenoid. Any ideas what might be wrong or for me to try to fix next?

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Al

Assuming you have the smaller wire that leads from the solenoid to the starter, that wire sends the signal to engage the starter. I would check that.
