I managed to get my truck home late Sunday evening. I had time to work with it today and checked for codes...nothing, system check good. I drove it around my neighborhood until it started stumbling, pulled over and checked for codes again and still nothing. The notable part of this exercise is that when I started the engine when it was connected to the scanner it ran fine when it was stumbling immediately prior to plugging the scan tool in. I will try the troubleshooting techniques recommended tomorrow morning and report results.

 

I performed all of the checks detailed in the link provided by Forge-World- Ford and everythingg checks good. The engine was running fine at the time though. I will test again when the truck is exhibiting the misfire. Does anyone think this could be an internittent fault in the ECU?
