The original owner of my 1992 f150 xlt thinks he had a remote starter installed on that truck, but the second owner never had a remote. How do I check to see if it has one so I can get a remote coded to it if it has one?

 

Look for it? Its not stock so you should be able to find something like that pretty easy if it does have it and you look for it.

 

problem is I have no idea what the setup looks like.

 

Google "remote start" and you'll find all kinds of examples.
Not being a dick, just realized it would be easier for you to Google it than for me to upload a pic.

 

And it's probably under the dash below your steering column.
