hi my 1993 ford f 150 v6 300 clicks two or three times before starting i changed the fender solenoid 3 times it still does it cleaned all temanals and replaced the starter with a used starter and still does it. now i can jump it with a screw driver. some times i can drive it all day and it wont do it other time i have to use the screw driver what is the trouble?

What was wrong with the original starter relay (on the fender)? What did you replace it with the 1st time (brand, PN, source)? And the 2nd? And the 3rd? What was wrong with each one?

What was wrong with the original starter? What's the brand, PN, & source of the used replacement? Did you see it work before you put it on your truck?

Exactly which terminals did you clean? How exactly did you clean them?

How exactly are you using the screwdriver? Does it start EVERY time with the screwdriver?

 

1-made in canada 2 -your right 4.9 i new that #3 the starter on it was the original, when have someone try to start it the wires on top of the starter get bright red hot. #4 relay was junk bwd had advance auto check it #5driveworks #6motorcraft, clean the ground and pos with wire brush and sand paper. Yes it start up every time with screw driver touch the two big lees on the relay.now can a bad key switch cause the trouble?
