96 F150 Cranks a couple times and then fires up
Hello. I am trying to diagnose an issue before it becomes a real problem. I have a 96 F150 5.0. I just replaced all of the plugs and wires yesterday and now I’m just moving on to the next thing. When I crank the truck, it turns over and always starts but there is some hesitation. It rolls over 2-3x before it fires up.
Makes me nervous that something is going out and I’m wondering if it’s my starter. If it looks anything like the plugs I took out yesterday, it probably is covered in rust. Thank you.

Does it spin slowly, then speed up, and finally start? Or does it spin full-speed for several revolutions, and then start? If it always starts, then it's not likely a bad starter. More likely low fuel pressure, bad battery terminals, or the block ground being loose/dirty.
