Truck wouldnt start so i replaced the battery
Seemed fine till stopped it in a drive thru and wouldnt start, jumped it and drove 1/2 mile and it died. Replaced alternator ( horrible experience lol) battery dead after replacement so jumped it off started right up. Took cables off and truck ran about 15 seconds and the lights dimmed and about 5 seconds later died. Jumped again, started right up. Then same thing. What up with this?

If your battery was dead when you replaced the alternator, your new alternator may not charge a dead or very low battery. I would charge your battery with a battery charger, preferably no faster than ten amps. The truck should then start without a boost. When you get the truck started check the volts gauge to see if the alternator is charging.
If you have a dead battery and the alternator is not charging, you have nothing to fire the ignition. This is likely why your truck kept quitting.
