Default 94 f150 5.0l

I am having trouble, I had the truck running and i ran into the garage to get something and I came out and it was dead and now it won't start. It's no a fuel problem, but I have no spark. Changed plugs and that didn't help. Truck isn't worth much so I don't wanna put out big bucks. Any ideas

Start checking stuff. Since it seems to have just suddenly stopped working my first suspicion would be the ignition module. See if you have power to the coil and check for spark at the coil. If you have power but no spark coming out it's either the pickup in the distributor or the ignition module.

IIRC it's in those trouble shooting steps. It covers the ICM, coil, wires, distributor, PIP sensor, etc. Also you could just visually inspect. Take the cap off and inspect the contacts on the underside of each post and the rotor contact. Unplug your coil so you don't shock yourself and try to turn the engine over to see if the rotor... Well... Rotates. Other than that I don't know.

Well I have no spark coming from the ignition I tested the wire that goes to the distributer and there isn't anything. I'm sorta in a rush to fix it any ideas. What do I do now

Did you do the steps on the link? I think this narrows it down to the coil or ICM.

I had a similar problem about 2 years ago, and after spending a fortune on ignition parts, it turned out to be the computer board. get it on a computer tester.

Speaking of problems, I have black smoke, rough idle on my "94 150 5.o . I suspect the oxygen sensor. I cleaned it and found no improvement. I had a friend who works on nothing but ford suggest, the fuel injectors. Before I tear down the intake system, does anyone have any other suggestions?

Install a new o2 sensor if you suspect it?
If the smoke is only on startup it could be leaky injectors, if it's all the time then you are running rich
