Default 93 power window problems

Hello All,
My windows wont roll up, the motor is working, the teeth on the regulator appear to be good. The truck has been sitting for a year or longer. I'm thinking the gear on the motor is worn out. Can that gear be replaced? also I noticed the regulator and motor are mounted with pop rivets. Do I drill those out and replace them with bolts? the truck is a 1993 model. Help me out if you have any info on this problem. Thanks Pete

I have had the same issue... I started with the actual switch (I think $12.00 at O'reilys), make sure your switches have good coneections. I did have to replace the actual Window motor, when I came bk from a deployment.. ($65.00 @ O'reilys) but mine was mounted on with three very small self tapping screws.. It took me maybe 30mins to replace.

I'm just going to replace the motor and regulator. I found a set for under $100. Hope there worth the trouble to change them out. I'm not a big fan of ebay, but its a work truck. Thanks for the info

3 lil plastic bushings, works like new, and 4 new bolts. $10 and about 30 minutes. Saved me $$$$$. Love it. Thanks for the help
