When I bought the truck the fuel pump ran continuous. I then I pushed the AC button in the cab and the truck died and would not start. I replaced distributor, button, coil, relays with no luck. i then bought a reman computer and BAM!!! it worked. That was 4 months ago. Today I had a brain fart and hit the blue AC button in the cab and the truck died again and will not start. Good thing the computer in under warranty as another will be here tomorrow. My question is this. Why would the AC button that starts the AC compressor fry my computer. I dont get it. By the way, the AC lines are disconnected fro the condenser

Sounds like you have wires shorted somewhere. Is the a/c compressor plugged it ? I would unplug that first.
The only relationship between the 2 is that the idle will be raised when the air conditioning is turned on.
