I got a code 332 last week on my 1995 5.8l XLT. The “purple line” going from the TAB solenoid to the TAB Valve was broken!
I believe it’s been like this for a while but I get overwhelmed with getting around to my old truck.
I bought a piece of vacuum line and vacuum line connectors. Fixed the line and my truck started up fine, and 70% less shaky!
the problem is, the whole assembly that the TAB Valve is attached to. It is just laying there not attached to anything. There is a bracket, but I do not no where to secure the bracket to, can anyone give me some insight?
Purple is not a color Ford uses for vacuum lines. And a leak in any of the colored vacuum lines will not affect how the engine runs, assuming they're routed correctly.
That it's missing suggests that the intake manifold gaskets, right valve cover gasket, right exhaust manifold, or some combination of them has been replaced.
