Default T18 shift **** replacement

Hey all. I have a 1993 f150 with the borg warner t18 transmission. Unfortunately it doesn't have the shift kno b, and the only 4 speed kno b I'm able to find online are specific or jeeps. Does anyone know where I can find one or if the "jeep" ones will fit my truck? Thanks!

Are you sure it is a '93?
The T18 was not a 1993 trans yours should be a M5R2 with a press on ****
That T18 has a screw on **** right?
So the screw on ones are just the older ones
I do not know whether the Jeep one will fight but it probably will
Look for a 1990 or so, possibly go back to 87 when looking
Good luck
In 92 a 4 speed was available but a T19 IIRR

yes sir it is. Stamped on the transmission as a t18. Unfortunately I can't find any, even for older trucks that the t18 also came in. I think I'll buy the jeep one and hope it's the same diameter.

3/4 x 24 thread
Hit the junkyard is most likely the best thing
I saw a used one online (ebay) that was 30.00 and was not in real good shape

Well now that you say it I guess the rest of the internet might not be the MOST reliable source hahaha. But from my research I found that the 13-01-065-907 is to be the t18. This truck was also an old forrest ranger truck, so it made sense to me. I also saw that ebay posting and was slightly disappointed as to how much it was. Hopefully a new truck pops up in the junkyards around me soon.

If you or someone you know can turn out a shifter-shaped **** on a lathe, you can work one of the Crown Automotive Shift **** Inserts (p/n J3241067) into the top of it and be good to go.

That’s sorta what I had done years ago except I used my factory insert piece in a homemade hardwood **** and gorilla glued both the insert into the top cut out recess and the **** on the shaft. It’s been a perfect upgrade to the original plastic **** that came with the truck. The plastic ones tend to crack and loosen in my experience
