There is an open box in the dash to the right of the steering wheel that is big enough to install the hvac controls from an older ranger. Why do I want to do this? If I can do this, I will have enough room for a large touch screen connected to a raspberry pi car stereo. Has anyone tried this? Is there any excess in the cables, wires an hoses of the hvac in the F150?

 

I don’t believe there is that much slack, but you could custom the vacuum tubes and find and source a little longer cable, like from a push mower maybe?
