Default Looking to replace the radio.

Hey there! I'm young and inexperienced, so having a new '90 Lariat in need of lots of work is definitely a learning experience! Anyways, I'm looking to replace the radio (NOT the speaker system!) for something that maybe has Bluetooth support? Or at least CD support. Is there anyone that sells some kind of simple kit to do this? Most online results seem to include replacing the speaker system, which, again, I do not want to do. Thanks for the help! (:

Welcome. Crutchfield includes tons of info and they will let you know which wire harness adapters you need for your vehicle and chosen radio so you don't cut up your factory wiring. They even have a service where they will make your wire harness connections for you if you don't feel you are up to it for a small fee. I'll see if I can find you a video on Youtube that can help you out.

Found a video!

The original speakers are no better than the original radio, and probably MORE in-need of replacement. Yes, you can get the parts almost anywhere, to swap whatever radio or speakers you want, with any feature you want. Touchscreen, reverse camera, Wireless CarPlay/AndroidAuto, birdseye view...

Crutchfield will supply a pre-connected custom harness if you pay their price for the radio. But with a pair of crimpers, some butt-connectors, and a few minutes, you can assemble it yourself.

I just replaced mine in my 92 with a Jensen from Crutchfield and they sent a harness for free. Just plug and play. When you add the radio in your cart, it will ask if you want to add the harness and any other installation tools. They will also send free instructions. I paid like $60 for my bluetooth (No CD) radio and I'm very happy with it. I also replaced the door speakers though and will be doing the rest. If you don't have upgraded speakers then the sound will be no better. If you just want a bluetooth or CD capable radio and don't care about the sound then that's different.
