I was thinking, you know how on the newer fords they have a cool electrical system that tells you exactly how many miles you have to empty and other stuff like that? How hard would it be to install that? I was thinking one off the 2001-2003 explorer.

i think that would be a bit difficult to do considering your trucks an odb1 system and does not have the smarts to even comprehend any of that.

All I was thinking was hooking up a meter in the fuel tanks and just say the mileage and miles in the gas tank.

I'm not fimilure with the system but i believe it ties into the entire ecu I could be wrong, that would be really kick *** if you do end up doing it you need to do a build thread for sure.

Alright I'm gonna look in to it. I need to make a yard run for some pricing information. By the way, where did you get those missile switches? I am seriously interested!!!

buddy in the military you can pick up the nock offs online somewhere im sure.

I made a set of inserts out of Bird's Eye Maple, stained and covered with Epoxy coating. Held in place with velcro.
