Default What Car Wash Solution to Use?

I own a 1996 F-150 with the maroon exterior. I recently went on a week long business trip and without thinking left my truck parked under a pecan tree for a week while I was out of town. When I returned there was tree sap spots as well as big dark spots on the hood and roof where pecans fell on the truck and the pecan shells broke open letting the pecan oil stain the paint. What is a good car wash soap/solution to use to remove the stains without too much scrubbing of the finish? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a clay bar would take most of it off...you can buy a kit at most parts stores that includes the bar and cleaning solution to use with it.

i clay bar my truck every 6 months to a year (depending how bad its looking) then just wash it every couple weeks or so with turtle wax ICE. i also wax it with just some standard turtle wax after i clay bar it because it pulls the wax off.
