Good evening all. So I sealed up the third brake light with 3M Strip Caulking a couple of weeks ago and it works great. I would highly recommend it for any of your sealing needs. I also used it when I resealed the transmission floor cover. Of course my third brake light was full of water and causing water to accumulate on the floor under the vinyl flooring. The lights still work great even with the water previously inside and the scorching/melting of the housing due to the heat of the bulbs. I guess when I find a good looking (close to factory look) LED housing I will install that, but for now it is sealed and working great.
