Replacing driver side mirror glass
I see the glass for sale online but want to know the easiest way to remove the old glass to replace it. Mine is just cracked in the center and it won't pass the safety inspection. I am going through this old truck and getting it back up to snuff and on the road again. It's a 92 f150 custom 2-wheel drive with the 300 I6.
None of that tells us what kind of mirrors it has, but ALL of the truck's details need to be in your signature as this page explains, so we don't have to dig back through your old posts every time we want to know what you're talking about:

Adjust the mirror glass as much as you can so you can peek behind it between the glass and the mirror body. If there are clips holding the glass portion, use a thin flat screwdriver to try and pop the clips to release the glass. If it is held on using adhesive, its a matter of using a hair dryer or similar to warm the glass to help release the adhesive and using something like strong fishing line to saw behind the glass and cut the adhesive foam tape to remove it.
