Default Fly windows...

This is what I have always called them - the triangular shaped window in front of the square ones that can be opened and turned to give you wonderful "260" air conditioning. The pin at the top of mine has fell apart. Does anyone have any creative suggestions for a new one? I would like something permanent. I have access to a rivet gun but i don't have a micrometer to measure the size of the hole. I am guessing it is smaller than 1/16"?

JB Weld if the hinge fell apart and a finish nail for the hinge pin?
Junkyards and eBay have the entire assembly, but they look pretty expensive.

The really old folks called them "wing windows", my Gen back in the50s and 60s til they disappeared called them the "no draft" ("windows" was understood. My pop rivetgun came with 4 sizes of aluminum rivets, I'd say "the largest one, that fits. Don't wato force it..the hinge thing -part pretty delicate by now. What YEAR are we talking?

I looked at mine tonight and realized it's a rivet, I thought it was a small piano hinge.

I would just replace the wing assembly with a good used one from the junkyard
You have to remove the main glass and then fight the wing out with a couple more rivets in the door pillar
That is your lasting repair IMO
