so, went and looked at a bed today. it is in amazing shape. EXCEPT about 1/2 in rust spots above the wheel wells (where the chrome trim goes). would it be worth fixing if I can get the bed fairly cheap?

Personally I think you would be better off fixing your dents. Rust repair can be more work, also if you do not get every bit of rust removed before you repair/paint it the rust will just come back.

Nope, I'm in Wisconsin (so I know about rust) but LMCtruck.com sells patch panels that could fix up any bed.
