96 F150 Codes

Default 96 F150 Codes

I had exhaust system replaced from manifolds to tail pipe including driver side manifold and now have codes P0174 P1150 and P1151 which I never had before, can anyone help?

They are all fuel/air ratio related, issues with o2 sensors/MAF. Start with the o2's, you can test them to verify they are working properly or you can just replace them. If they are original to the truck I would say replace, if they were installed with new exhaust then your setup is not right. Did you eliminate any o2s? Damage any wiring? Forget to plug something back in? (I chased a 172 for a week before discovering a plug behind the battery was undone)

Did the new manifold have the spot for the O2 sensor ? Your truck should have a sensor in each manifold and another one between the 2 cats.

I had this done by a mech in town, so not sure if he got them mixed or not, truck has all 3 in the exhaust, 2 upflow and 1 down flow. Thanks

My truck has all 3 in the exhaust tubing, 2 are upflow,(before converter) and 1 between the 2 converters.

Here is what I did, replaced both up-flow 02 sensors and cleaned MAF sensor, replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, oil change , fuel filter and now I have No Codes and truck seems to get Better gas mileage than when I first bought truck! Thanks to all!!!
