I'm pretty well versed on all the different ZF5 models but I have a more technical question. I have a zf5 sf42 small block trans in my 95 f150. I'm thinking about putting the m5od back in (definitely will be if I end up selling the truck). Can I put a diesel zf5 sf42 main case on that trans and use it in my 97 psd? I understand it's a wide ratio trans but I'm just thinking here. I also know there are factory diesel zf's that are wide ratio trans so it can't be too bad. Has anyone tried this before?
