I have a 92 f150 4 wheel drive automatic Tran. It has manual transfer with manual lock hubs and I don't know if my issue is my tc or my Tran itself. A few days ago I noticed I could hear grinding underneath my truck while driving but it had no performance problems at all. While Iwas driving my truck it made a loud noise like gears free spinning and then just stopped pulling. I didn't have reverse or drive or park. It was dead on the road. When I pulled it home my father tried shiffting the tc to see if it would move in 4 wheel drive but nothing happened until he put the tc in neutral then the truck took every gear. But when I drive it the trans won't shift out of first and I can still hear the grinding. How do I know if it's the tc or the trans please help I don't want to save up money just to replace the wrong thing.
