Default What is this?

So... I noticed the white wire is actually a line and due to where this is located I believe it is a vacuum powered switch/valve for the heater core/hvac vents, however there is a hole in the line (a big one) and I haven’t noticed anything wrong with the hvac. So what is it and is it important? Sorry if the is wrong place I’m new to posting.

That white vacuum line if for the hvac blend actuator to switch between fresh air and recirculating air. The fact that there is a hole in the line means that the door is probably stuck in either the open or closed position, which isnt really something that you will really notice.

Thank you very much, considering I never use ac unless I have a passenger (rarely), this doesn’t matter too me. My guess was sorta close lol.

Regardless how often you use it, it's a vacuum leak that should be fixed. It's letting dirty air into the HVAC control head's valve, and ultimately, into the engine. Click this & read the caption:
