Default Tyranny Trouble

I just bought a '96 F150 XLT 4X4. I was driving it On a Saturday no issues. On Sunday when I shifted gears there was no 3rd or 4th gears. They both were hard to find and the truck acted like it was in neutral in both gears. 1st, 2nd, overdrive and reverse are fine. It's supposed to be a new clutch and there are no problems shifting. It just is not engaging in 3rd or 4th gears? What should I begin looking at? Shift rod? Bushings? I don't think the tyranny is shot because I have four of three of the gears and reverse.
Help.

Which trans do you have? From your description, it sounds like a five speed manual, but there where two different ones offered for these trucks. The Mazda M50d, and the ZF S5-42.
