1992 f150

not knowing what happened I drove about 100 miles with the transfer case just hanging there it broke off at the flanges. Looking at the pictures do I have to get a new transfer case? Or is it replaceable at the mounting area?

 

Holy hell, took me a minute for it to register. I would definately pull everything out and look at what it's gonna take to fix or repair it.

Any idea how it happened? Were you offroading or something? Did you feel a bind or hear/feel anything?

 

I can't tell what's broken. Did the transfer case crack, did the tailshaft housing break, or did the threads pull out on the bolt holes ?
