Default Towing with an aod

Wondering what folks thought about AOD in towing capacity.
any upgrades that are practicle?

It's not a real strong transmission compared to the e4od or 4r70w. But it's still pretty good. Best thing you can do is keep the fluid and filter clean and make sure you have a good transmission cooler.
A mild shift kit would help keep the clutches from burning up, but then you're starting to get into money.

Well, I rebuilt it, and now it wont shift out of first, which im finding is some what of a common problem. The TV cable is set correctly, but it has too high of tv pressure at idle around 38psi.
Any one successfully fixed this?
