Angry Throwout bearing issues

got a 1992 Flareside, 4.9 with the M50D 2wd.
bearings went on the tranny, so i had to replace it (story for another day ). While i was at it i replaced the hydraulic throwout bearing. bled it properly, using the proper fluid, i made sure its correct. i drove it day before and it drove good, yesterday and today it drove great. full clutch movement, all that good stuff.
then tonight i go out, and it goes almost to the floor then stops dead about an inch up. ok, wierd. so i release it and push in again, the pedal moves through the free play it has to have, then stops dead again. exactly like it hit a brick wall, like pushing on one as well. check the reservoir, its full to the step thingys like its supposed to be. go back in, and it does the exact same thing again.

this is a new TO bearing. i pulled that tranny out 3 times over the course of the weekend. please tell me its something stupid like i didnt say the magic words

Are you sure you hooked the clutch line back in right? The pedal will go hard if the clutch line is popped out and build pressure because it has no were to go.

yeah, the lines still in. i had to put that C clip around the plastic jacket on the new TO bearing. almost pulled the thing off the jack making sure it wouldnt work itself out. ill double check that though, maybe something pinched the line somewhere?

i redact my previous comment. the line was in the transmission, however that C clip must not have held the line in place, either my error or not being made correctly. so, the line didnt seat in the transmission like it was supposed to, aaaand so the fluid wasnt transferring into the bearing, hence my problem. guess i gotta look closer next time.
thank you sylver
