Not at all. It’s simple if you take the throttle body off, it’s just two screws that hold the sensor on. In fact, this is the perfect opportunity to clean your throttle body, which if you haven’t done before, will definitely need it. Pick up some throttle body cleaner. Soak it real good, and wipe all the carbon away. Make sure the butterflies open and close easily. There could be carbon holding it from either opening or closing completely. That could also be a reason for the surging idle.

Ok I did the voltage test for the tps and got .9 volts with idle and 4.9 volts o. Full throttle which is normal. I'm still ganna replace it and clean the throttle body though since it prolly needs cleaning anyways. I however pulled the purge valve and was able to blow a tiny amount of air through it when no voltage was added. Didnt have a 9 bolt battery with me at the time so couldn't check if it would open if voltage added though. I am ganna replace the hoses cause they cracked when I tried pulling the valve. Could the purge valve be the cause of this too?

So just to make sure I tried back probing the map sensor and I was getting 0 volts one signal and the main positive. Idk where to start to figure this one out too.

I believe to have found the issue. When I pulled the egr valve vacuum hose the truck runs amazing. I pulled the vacuum solenoid and found out that it was partially stuck open causing a constant vacuum to the egr valve leaving it open.
I plugged the valves vacuum hose for now and the new solenoid will be here monday!
