Stuck Shifter
Dear God please send me someone who lives nearby on this forum to work on trucks and drink beer with.
Ok so I always had this problem and never worried about it until now, deep snow out here and got to thinking...hmmm...i never used the 4wd. Well I tried to see if I could move the shifter from 2 to 4 and still feels welded in place, ok well it does move back an forth a lil
very very lil, actually not enough to get into gear but shows up as in 4high gear on dash. I'm sick on spending tons of money on somebody else doing this work and then feelin raped when I get the vehicle back and somethin "new" arises the same week. Any help on the transfercase stickyness would be appreciated.. Thanks guys

Spray the crap out of it with penetrating oil then oil it up good. Work it back in fourth. These are common to freeze up if there not used and dont push it too hard because they are known to break. Just work it after spraying it for a couple days.
