1994 f150 4x4 Can some one who purchased a redhead steering box please tell me if it was good and remained good for how long.

I have had the Red Head on my 94 for two years. It is ok, not great. It still has more slack than when the truck was new.

I've had to replace both colors on other people's trucks because of strange failures barely outside the warranty period. One failed with NO feedback or return-to-center; with the engine running, the steering wheel could be spun with 1 finger like a cheap toy, or like the steering column was not connected. But the still truck steered. The box was ~15 months old and was not warranted - I charged the owner a few hundred $$ to scrap it & install this:

Can some one please tell me when buying new lines what the little yellow plastic caps are for that they send in separate pack also pressure line has thin nylon washer but return line does not.
