Stalling when coasting to a stop
87 4speed 4.9 i6 2wd
The truck seems to run ok when I'm cruising but there is an occasional miss, I'm not sure if it's a miss or driving too slow in too high a gear.... Anyway, it idles fine when I first fire it up and typically idles fine any other time after warm up except when I push the clutch for a stop sign or stop light or to go around a corner, occasionally it will stall out on me. It is rather annoying as it takes you by surprise when the steering gets really stiff and your trying to make a turn on another street, I'm afraid to let anyone else drive it because they won't know what to do and might wreck. I would really like to leave this truck at my grandfathers place so he can use it when he needs it too. I have no idea where to even start, I CAN NOT pull the codes. I have tried multiple times and the dash light refuses to BLINK, it does work but does not blink the codes to me when I ground the STI port. I tried hooking a meter to it and the meter did nothing either.
